Our country has declared a climate emergency.
Since September, our island home has been on fire. Bushfires have destroyed over 12 million acres of land this season (that’s about the size of Belgium and The Netherlands combined) and it’s not over yet. Over 480 million animals have died, with many more left homeless or starving. Thousands of homes have been destroyed and worst of all, we’ve lost 23 precious lives.
As individuals we’ve donated money and supplies, but as a business we wanted to do more. As a trade printer, we can help make an impact quickly with a message that extends beyond our reach, and onto yours. Between us, we have access to thousands of Australians to truly do something meaningful and make a difference. At the moment, media coverage for this climate emergency is at an all time high, but when the fires slow down, the coverage will too, and for many Australians, that will just be the beginning of a long journey to rebuild. We won’t be feeling the effects of these fires for months, we’ll be feeling these effects for years, and so we put our heads together to come up with an initiative that would keep on giving.
WHAT ARE WE DOING AND HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
For every business card order of 1,000 quantity per version or more, we’re going to plant a tree. Not just for the month of January, but for the foreseeable future, because we know it won’t all be over when the coverage stops. We believe that together, we can help rebuild our precious country one tree at a time and truly make an impact. A message, we hope you feel strongly enough to stand behind. A message, we hope you feel passionate about to extend to your customers. A message, we hope Australians will stand behind, to not only support your business, but to support our country in desperate need of help. Together we’re #RebuildingOurIslandHome
BUT HOW WILL YOU KNOW WE’VE DONE IT?
Once a week we’ll email you an e-card from a third party for each tree that has been donated on your clients behalf. Each card will say it’s from you to your client (we’ll use the name you put on the job), and can easily be forwarded to let them know that their purchase has made a difference.
SO HOW CAN WE HELP YOU SPREAD THE WORD?
You can find everything you need here including a web banner, social media post, and email template so you can update your website, post it on your socials, and email your clients so that they can choose to spend their dollars somewhere that makes a difference. We’re not putting an end date on this initiative so you don’t have to either, with a powerful message we hope to carry through 2020.

BUT WE KNOW OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE ENVIRONMENT DOESN’T STOP THERE!
We know that our actions, are a direct reflection on your business so here’s some noteworthy facts we’re proud to stand behind
- We’ve been certified in Sustainable Green Printing, a certification program run by the Printing Industries Association of Australia. As part of this certification we comply with key environmental laws, manage our environmental risk, document our environmental actions and undertake internal audits to manage our Environmental Management System.
- We not only focus on waste, but recycling, storage and handling too.
- We mainly use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified papers which have been harvested and produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. (Did you know that FSC paper actually uses less energy to produce than recycled paper?)
- We use ‘Waterless Offset Presses’ which eliminates the need for not only water but other chemicals traditionally used in the printing process. This is greener, cleaner and more efficient way of printing than traditional offset as there is no need to use or dispose of chemical fluids.
