Price Changes On Some Extra Finishes.

Foiling / Embossing - Here at IBS we've only ever used the traditional 'old school' method of hot foiling & embossing which we consider an art in itself. It's a beautiful manual process that delivers stunning results, but these results come from the creation of a custom made metal block and a lot of attention to detail when setting up and running the job. Unfortunately over the years there have been a number of price rises passed onto us that we have absorbed including plate costs, delivery costs and space required to print the job ready for extra finishing (adequate grip and lay). Considering all these factors it was no longer feasible for us to offer the service at the current price. To combat this, we have raised the pricing of this service slightly.

Die Cutting & Rounded Corners - We pride ourselves on delivering quality print every time, and for this reason we chose to discontinue the $11 'drilled rounded corner special' over a year ago. Although it was a cheap finishing option, we didn't feel that drilled rounded corners provided the quality standard we hold ourselves accountable to. In the interim, we decided to reduce the price of die cut rounded corners to provide our clients with a crisp and clean finish. This process has meant that we need to add a substantial amount of space around the print to allow for grip and lay when die cutting. On-top of the increase in time taken to die cut the cards and the additional space required on the print, we have also absorbed the cost of increased die charges and unfortunately have not been able to sustain this ongoing. A slight price increase has been added to these services to cover the costs.

Drill Holes - We have recently invested in a new drilling machine for a cleaner hole with greater accuracy, with the price only increasing slightly on some quantities.

Cross Folding - Cross folding is the process of putting a job through the folder in one direction and then having to feed it back through the folder in another direction to effectively 'cross fold' the job. Unfortunately this is a time consuming process that slows down the production of our core brochure work that incurs a quick turn around. A small increase in price has been added to this service to cover the additional time required.
